Finance Department Internship – Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators offer full-time college students the opportunity to gain hands on experience and earn college credit at the same time! Predators’ internships make it possible for students to learn how a professional sports team operates on a daily basis. You will learn valuable skills in database management, lead generation, survey research, analytics, and ticketing as well as gain contacts and experiences to jump start a career in the wide world of sports!
Finance interns gain exposure to many aspects of the financial operations of the organization. Pursuit of an accounting or finance degree is preferred. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be professional, and be able to multi-task. Applicant must have proficient computer skills (particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Assist with basic accounting functions relating to the Nashville Predators, the Nashville Predators Foundation, and Bridgestone Arena
Tasks might include assisting with weekly accounts payable processing, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, making bank deposits, assisting with month-end closing processes, assisting with annual audit preparation
Assist finance staff with routine administrative tasks
Assist with other finance-related projects, as requested
Nashville Predators Internship Requirements
All interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities
The internship must be a part of the student’s curriculum
The internship must provide earned hours that are directly applied to the student’s degree
Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented, team players
Internships do not provide compensation
Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Predators upon completion
