The Boston Bruins ProShop at the TD Garden is looking for an Retail Operations Manager to support our ecommerce site bostonproshop.com and our retail operations. The candidate will be an integral part of the retail team and will be looked upon to conceptualize and upload content for our e-commerce business. The successful candidate must be able to work successfully within a team setting that includes collaboration with outside vendors as well as internal team members in Marketing, Retail, Corporate Partnerships, and Creative Services. This person will also be responsible for some daily/monthly reporting and accounting functions for the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Design site assets and creative that meets business and customer needs.
  • Responsible for site merchandising which includes product / category set-up, take-down, and overall presentation on the website that mirrors in-store set up. This position will coordinate production of content needs for site from photo and description development, to placement of product within the site and connecting to offline inventory.
  • Supports ownership of online customer experience including UX, UI, content, imagery, SEO, and overall promotions.
  • Conceptualize and offer creative solutions for innovating, improving and optimizing various areas on the site.
  • Special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Updates bostonproshop.com graphics and promotions on an ongoing basis to maximize sales.
  • Works with the Retail staff to help coordinate and execute marketing initiatives to drive category growth and incremental revenue.
  • Develops and maintains a master calendar of seasonal promotions and coordinates the details of the program within the organization.
  • Quality control product assortment on both staging and live sites and across all devices.
  • Work with ProShop team to solve customer service inquiries related to products
  • Manages collection of ecommerce data and reporting to drive site optimization and ongoing sales goals.
  • Works across marketing, digital and retail teams to establish consistency in online store, ability to create real-time offers, and help drive overall effectiveness of ecommerce site.
  • Works with marketing and retail team members to deliver digital solutions that meet business objectives and brand standards
  • Work with Marketing Team and Retail team to coordinate efforts for major campaign pushes
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Creative Services teams to create graphics for bostonproshop.com website, social media advertisement, and e-mail campaigns
  • Work in store when needed on special events and some game nights.
  • Responsible for various ProShop back of the house functions, including reporting (internal and league), AP invoicing and assisting accounting department with journal entries and other analysis as required
  • Research and stay current with trends in fashion, retail, and social media
  • Perform company petty cash reconciliation, prepare month sales tax returns and process credit reference
  • Prepare and process new vendor set up forms.

Education and Experience:

  • Education:  Associate’s Degree or equivalent

    Experience: 

  • Strong retail management background required, some accounting experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of ecommerce website experience in a high volume environment preferred
  • Po ssess a thorough understanding of content strategy and the user experience
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and meet very tight deadlines.
  • Expected to function independently and collaboratively, bringing fresh thinking, an open mind and a strong work ethic to the team environment.
  • Must demonstrate a sophisticated level of craft and inventiveness throughout work, from simple projects to the more complex, and across multiple disciplines
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in sales, purchasing and merchandising of officially licensed sports team related merchandise is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point)
  • Professional experience including collecting and/or reporting on marketing analytics
  • Basic quantitative and research skills with knowledge of analytics and/or inventory management
  • Experience with web-based software or standard CMS
  • Knowledge and previous experience using basic Adobe Photoshop skills
  • Self-starter, with ability to manage multiple responsibilities for a given project
  • Passion for emerging digital retail trends and technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with various levels within the organization
