Accountant – Finance   

Anaheim Arena Management (Honda Center) has a current opening for an Accountant opportunity within the Finance Department.  The primary functions of this position will include but not be limited to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Sales reporting, reconciliation of G/L accounts, recording deposits, etc.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Controller.  Anaheim Arena Management offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.   EOE


Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:

Accounts Payable

  • Full AP processing; coding & inputting invoices, issuing checks on Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV)
  • Obtain W-9 from all new vendors
  • Review & audit expense reports for proper support, approvals & coding
  • Review, audit and input monthly corporate card statements

 Accounts Receivable

  • Process AR Billing, cash receipts & deposits on NAV Accounting Software 
  • Maintain monthly customer billing files
  • Review A/R Aging and follow-up with customers on 60+ days past due
  • Reconcile A/R accounts to General Ledger

 General Ledger

  • Reconcile AP/AR Aging and various accrual & receivable accounts to General Ledger
  • Assist department with posting journal entries in NAV
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis


  • Prepare, print and mail annual 1099’s
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts
  • Maintain all accounts payable & accounts receivable reports, spreadsheets and files
  • Perform administrative support for the accounting department ad-hoc assignments as requested from management.


Specific Qualifications/Abilities: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or experience  
  • 5+ years of experience with the payables module of a similar accounting software
  • 5+ years of previous experience performing accounting/finance related tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • A proven record of discretely handling sensitive proprietary information
  • Must be self-motivated, able to learn on own, and work independently towards a deadline
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Have a customer service mentality while supporting internal needs and communicating with external parties
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred
